L2S Costume Information (click to open)
Parents of Ice Show skaters are responsible for their skater’s measurements and costume sizing. You will be asked to select costume sizes during registration.
Please measure your skater before you begin the registration process so you have the information you need to complete the costume sizing section of the Information Form below. For the costume, you will need girth, chest/bust, waist and hip measurements. For tights, you will need weight and height. Excellent instructions for measuring can be found at Weissman Costumes (one of our show vendors). Or, watch their "How to Measure" video:
The Costume Committee will review measurements and contact you with any questions.
Costumes
The price of your costume (including tights and/or boot covers as needed) is included the in Learn2Skate Ice Show session fee (see the Show Participation Information section above for fee and refund policies).
Skate Guards
All skaters are required to have hard plastic skate (blade) guards. They are not included in the session fee but can be purchased in town at Scheels or Sports Headquarters or at stores online.
Skaters are responsible for any costume size alterations that may be required. Changes to the design of a costume will be made only at the direction of the Costume Committee and Show Directors. ALL costumes must be worn as directed by the costume committee and show directors.
Please Note: While we take skater safety very seriously, skaters must be willing to skate without a helmet in the ice show due to costume restrictions.
Costume Pickup
Costumes often take months to arrive once ordered and will be distributed as they arrive (usually mid to late February). You will be contacted with instructions; please make sure your contact information is up-to-date.
