The 2010 RFSC Ice Show will be held April 16, 17 and 18, 2010. The show is a large-scale production involving spotlights, props, and special effects. It is a wonderful learning experience for skaters of all ability levels, and we encourage everyone to participate. Participants are expected to skate in all three performances! REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Show permission / registration forms with the appropriate non-refundable costume fee and full payment for show session must be returned by October 31, 2009 (Junior Club and JPSE skaters). Late registrations (Nov. 1 – Nov. 8) may be accepted on a space-available basis, and a $10 late processing fee will be charged. Preschool/Kindergarten group skaters have an extended deadline of November 21, 2009. COSTUMES: Costumes will be $48 for Preschool/Kindergarten skaters. Junior Club and JPSE costumes will cost $52. New this year all skaters and their parents will be responsible for their own measurements and costume sizing. Costume committee members will be available to help with measurements and answer questions on Tuesday, November 3, 6:00-6:45pm and Saturday, November 7: 10:15 - 11:45 am. NOTE: Junior Club boys will be grouped together in a number with other boys. We will make all efforts to choose fun “boy” costumes and choreography. While we take skater safety very seriously, skaters must be willing to skate without a helmet in the ice show due to costume restrictions. REHEARSALS: Show rehearsals will be held from March 5 – April 10, 2010 (no rehearsals March 26 – April 4 for Spring Break). To ensure the quality of the ice show numbers, skaters may not miss more than one rehearsal during show session and must be present for ALL show-week rehearsals (April 12-16, 2010). Skaters rehearse one day per week during the show session, using the time to learn their show routines (Extra days may be contracted at a later date for continued group basic skills lessons). Junior club skaters please indicate your first and second rehearsal day preferences on the show permission form. This will enable us to place skaters in groups with other skaters of a similar level. Rehearsal schedule: JPSE: Mondays (7:00pm) or Saturdays (12:00pm) Junior Club Girls: Tuesdays (6:00pm), Thursdays (6:00pm), Saturdays (10:45am) Junior Club Boys: Fridays (6:00pm) Preschool/Kindergarten (boys and girls): Saturdays (10:15am) SHOW WEEK: The week of the show, April 12-18, 2010, all skaters will rehearse on either Monday and/or Tuesday. There will be full dress rehearsals on both Wednesday and Thursday nights for all skaters.ATTENDANCE IS ABSOLUTELY REQUIRED AT ALL ABOVE-MENTIONED SHOW WEEK REHEARSALS!
