Costume Information
This year we would like to have the Preschool, Junior Club and JPSE skaters also be responsible for their own measurements and costume sizing.

Please measure carefully and remember that the charts provided are a guideline which cross-references most of the companies we order from. If there is a specific size that you would like to request, which is different than where your measurements are, please make a note of that on your costume form.

The guides on the Costume Sizing Form (which is a part of the Junior Club Show Registration Packet) will show you how to do the measuring. Then, using the sizing charts, match your measurements to the size you feel would be most appropriate. When measuring and sizing, please remember a few key factors:

  1. Your child is still growing, keep this in mind. It is almost half a year from when you measure to when you wear your costume.
  2. It is much easier to alter a costume that is too big than to try and fix a costume that is too small.
  3. When in doubt, choose the size that most closely matches the skaters’ girth measurement.
  4. We cannot return costumes for a different size. It takes 10-12 weeks to receive the costumes.
  5. Skaters are responsible for correctly sizing their costume(s). We will order what you specify on your form. If we have a question about your sizing, we will attempt to contact you via the email address provided. Please understand, that it is a process that is completed very quickly in a short period of time. If we need to contact you, we will need a timely response!
Members of the Costume Committee will be available Tuesday, November 3, 6:00-6:45pm and Saturday, November 7: 10:15 - 11:45 am to answer any questions you may have regarding how to measure or how to size.

If you plan to participate in the show, you must complete the Show Registration Form, complete the Costume Sizing Form, attach your checks for costume deposit and show session and return all of these to the RFSC Office by October 31, 2009 for JC/JPSE and November 21, 2009 for Preschool/Kindergarten.

The Costume Committee will review each form and size, and call you with any questions.
