Volunteers Needed
We need people to distribute Jr. Club flyers to the local elementary schools. The flyers will be available for pick up at the office starting Wed. 8/30. We would like to have the flyers at the schools no later than next Wed. Sept. 6th. A half hour volunteer credit will be given for each school you deliver to. A sign up sheet will be available in the office for the schools that we need delivered.

Ice Dance Class
Paul Paprocki will be offering an ice dance class on Tue. 8/29 and Thur. 8/31 from 11:15 - 12:15 AM. The cost is $12 per session. The class is designed for skaters who want to learn the steps to dances in the first four test levels. This class is appropriate for skaters who have never danced through Pre-Silver. If you are interested, please return the Registration Form ASAP or contact Paul.
Interim Ice
Next week, 8/28 - 9/1, will have an interim ice schedule. If you wish to skate, please check the office for availability. Schedules are on the RFSC web-site.
Fall Ice
The fall contract ice begins Tue. 9/5. Please turn in your contract ASAP if you have not yet done so. Thanks!

Fall Contracts
- Reminder that these are due on Saturday the 19th
- If your coach is out of town this week and you are unable to get their signature, please turn in your contract anyway. We are aware of who isn't available this week and will pass those contracts on to coaches for review next week.
- Prices: We do have a price increase this year but our apologies that the correct pricing isn't printed in the contract. The correct pricing is as follows:

Interim Contract Revision
There were a couple of small errors on the schedule originally posted. The dates are NOT for March and the Rec Center ice price of $5.15 is for a 45 minute block, cost per unit is $1.72. You may use the previous form OR the new form as the times haven't changed.
Lost Dress Midwest Open
The co-ordinator for the Midwest Open has contacted us with the information that they have a dress that was lost at the Midwest Open competition. A parent had spoken with someone during the events regarding this lost dress and left their contact info.,however, they have since then misplaced that info and are searching for the owner of this dress. Fall & Interim Contracts
The Fall and interim ice contracts are posted on the RFSC web site. Contracts are due on August 19th. Copies will also be available in the office if you are unable to access it from our web-site.
Please take note of some new things. We will be offering 15 minutes of dedicated moves in the field ice on Monday and Friday. This will be available in the hockey 'off-seasons' of fall and spring, available dates are noted on the contract. Also think about signing up for a power or Competitive Edge class, these are really beneficial for all skaters. Please talk to your coach about proper level placement for your skater in one of these classes.
JPSE Program Mentors
We are looking for friendly, motivated skaters to participate in a big sister/brother type program with our skaters that are enrolled in our new JPSE program. Mentors will provide support and friendship to a young upcoming skater. Requirements: age 10, passed Pre MIF, motivated and available 1-2 times per month. Attention all RFSC Lettering Candidates
Please add your name to the Lettering Candidates sign-up sheet on the office window by August 25th. A parent/skater meeting will be held at a later date, as well as the Parent/Athlete/Coach meetings.

We will unfortunatly have to cancel the August Valley Fair trip due to low sign up. You can pick up your checks from the office.

RFSC T-Shirts!!
Please get any last minute RFSC t-shirt orders in to the office by tomorrow, July 18th. We would like everyone participating in the Aug. 5th Valley Fair trip to wear a blue RFSC shirt. These are the same shirts we wore in the Rochesterfest parade. Cost is $8.50 payable to Denise Janzow. Sizes available are Youth S-XL and adult S-XL. A sign up sheet is in the office. All orders are due on July 18th!

Many Thanks!
We would like to give a huge THANKS! to all of the committee chairs and volunteers who made this past weekend possible. We had a very busy weekend with multiple activities going on. Star of the North competition volunteers - thank you all for a great job! Plus not to forget dance testing AND the parade float! You are what makes these events successful.
Schedule July 3 & 4
On Monday, July 3rd, we will be running all sessions EXCEPT High Syncronized, Ice Theater and Sport Psychology off-ice.
Tuesday, July 4th there will be NO ICE. Happy 4th of July!

Synchro Team Wants You!
The Rhythm and Blades Open Juvenile team is looking for more skaters.
Skaters should have good basic skating skills and a desire to skate with
a team. They should have passed the Pre-Preliminary Moves-in-the-Field
test, or be ready to test by the end of summer. Any interested skaters
should contact Vikki Dalquist.
