All Rochester Figure Skating Club members who contract for their ice time (and who choose to participate in the show) must complete the Online Registration Process by October 15, 2011. A $10 late fee will be assessed for entries submitted after October 15.
We are please to once again offer online registration for the Ice Show to our Contract Skaters. The online registration asks for the same information as the old Ice Show Participation and Costume Sizing Forms. Online registration will require that all questions be answered before your skater's registration is complete.
This year, registration will reuse the personal information you filled out for the School Year contract. Please review it (particularly test levels and email addresses) on the Show Participation form. There is a button you can use to revisit your personal information to make changes if necessary. If you haven't completed this form yet (we're not sure how that might happen) please email the office for instructions on how access the Personal Information Form.
Please note: you will need the login you created for the School Year Contract to access the Participation Form. Click the login button at the bottom of the left column to log in before you go to the registration form. If you don't remember your login, there are links to either get your username or to recreate your password. If you don't have a login, please contact the RFSC office.
A $60 costume deposit will be required to register for the Ice Show. You will have the opportunity to pay by credit card or paypal during the registration process. This is our preferred method of payment. You are highly encouraged to pay by credit card or PayPal because it is easier for us to track the payments.
If you are unable to pay online, checks or cash will be accepted, with checks being preferred for safety and tracking purposes. Cash and check payments for costume deposits are due October 15, 2011. They may be left in the RFSC office. Please use an envelope labeled "Costume Committee - Show Costume Deposit". Again, this will help us properly track your payment.
To make the costume sizing questions easier we recommend printing off the Costume Sizing Worksheet. Please measure your skater before you begin the registration process. Use the Costume Sizing Worksheet to record your answers. That way you will have the information you need to complete the costume sizing section of the online registration form. Please be sure to review the Costume Information as well.

Ice Show Registration Notes:
The amount of numbers which you agree to skate in also indicates the number of costumes you are willing to purchase (LAST YEAR the average cost was $60 each). Please be aware that this is an average price for each costume. We do our best to keep costs down and order reasonably priced costumes with good quality in mind. We are always somewhat limited by what the costume companies have to offer.
By completing the online registration you will be agreeing to participate in the Ice Show and to the following:
- Skater must agree to participate in all show numbers in which they are cast, even though they don't know which numbers those will be.
- Skater is responsible for their own measurements and understands that they are responsible for any size alterations that are needed.
- Costumes cannot be returned or exchanged for different sizes. PLEASE MEASURE CAREFULLY!
- Costumes may not be altered before pictures without approval from the costume committee.
- Costumes must be worn as directed by the costume committee and show director – NO EXCEPTIONS.
- Skaters who are cast as soloists in the show must have their costume approved no later than January 1, 2012.
Soloists who do not have their costume for picture day will not be pictured in the show program and the picture will not be posted at the rink. Please plan accordingly.
- Skaters may not wear their costumes prior to show performances, except at the request or approval of the costume committee and/or show director. Costumes must also be covered if worn by skaters in the audience during show performances or any show rehearsals.
- The Rochester Figure Skating Club does not control photos that are taken by outside media sources. By registering for the show, you acknowledge that photos may be taken by members of the media during practices and show week performances.
- Group photos taken on show picture day in March will be publicized in our show program and displayed in the RFSC communication showcases downstairs at the rink.
- Skaters and parents must respect all fellow skaters, volunteers and directors of the ice show. Many hours are spent preparing for an outstanding show that is fun for skaters as well as pleasing to the audience. Please be considerate of others to make it a positive experience for all involved.
